Biography

Thomas W. Luckett is a tenor from Munich, Germany, where he started taking his first singing lessons with Anna Haase von Brinken in 2012.  Singing has always been an integral part of his life; especially in the seven years he spent reading Law in London, throughout which he was a member of both the London Philharmonic Choir and London Symphony Chorus.  He has taken part in vocal master classes and opera courses at the Dartington International Summer School in Devon, England, over the course of many years.

Thomas is about to graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester for his Master of Music in Solo Performance, where he studied under David Maxwell Anderson and David Kempster.  He was generously supported by the South Square Trust Scholarship Award.  He also frequently studies with his coach Stellario Fagone at the Bavarian State Opera House in Munich. Recent operatic roles include Edgardo in Donnizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor for the Buxton Festival 2015, the title role in Massenet’s Werther, Bill in Samuel Barber’s A Hand of Bridge and Mayor in Albert Herring for RNCM Opera Scenes.  In July of 2014 Thomas performed the role of Larry in an RNCM production of Sondheim’s Company.
